Project Uplift 6.0

A few words from the Project Uplift committee…

Dear Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce we are canceling Project Uplift 6.0, which was scheduled for September 12th, 2020.  Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and concerns for the safety of our volunteers and the athletes, we have made this difficult decision. Project Uplift is a staple event in the Northern Colorado Crossfit community and we know everyone is ready to get back out there and compete. We have been waiting and hoping that our current situation would change and we would be able to have the event, but feel it is just too early to do so safely and effectively.

We are so proud of our community’s generosity and we know how much this event provides to our children in need.  We have decided to do a virtual fund raising event with a matching grant of $5000 from Cosner Financial Group. Announcements will be coming soon to let everyone know where they can donate.  If you have the ability to donate, thank you. If you are a past sponsor and want to contribute a matching grant, please contact Clinton at or Scott Soldat-Valenzuela, Executive Director, at

Kid’s at Heart Nonprofit has benefitted greatly from our support over the last five years and continues to provide amazing respite services to our community. Please consider supporting this great cause and these families with any amount you can. From the bottom of all our hearts, thank you, we love our community, and we will be back next year with the best Project Uplift yet!

Team Project Uplift,
Clinton, Kristin and Josh

Learn more about Kids at Heart

Kids at Heart is a respite support organization for foster, kinship and adoptive families.

When a family makes the commitment to foster, we help to support them through respite. The two Saturdays per month Fundango event provides fun and educational experiences for kids while allowing parents a 4-hour break. It even includes snacks and dinner!

Sometimes a traditional day care facility is not the best fit for a child in foster care. Kids at Heart employs trauma trained and caring staff members who are experienced with kids in foster care.

We charge parents a significantly reduced fee without the requirement of signing-up for a long-term day care program. One of our families brings 6 kids and pays a total of $40 for 4 hours of respite. We also allow all children in a family to participate–biological, foster, kinship and adoptive.
