Kids at Heart provides respite for foster, kindship and adoptive families. We support family health by allowing parents to have a 4-hour uninterrupted respite time that is generally 2 times per month. All children in the family are encouraged to attend our signature program–Fundango. While parents enjoy some “time off”, kids are engaged in educational, fun and interactive experiences. During each Fundango kids participate in STEM, art, gym-time and dinner. 

Your support helps to pay for the cost of each Fundango. Contributions directly support programs for kids. Each Fundango costs about $50 per child for 4 hours of respite for parents. However, we charge a much lower rate for parents than any child care or similar respite time. Additionally, the Kids at Heart staff are trained to work with kids who have experienced trauma.
